This traditional enclosed courtyard of four log buildings forms a seamless dialogue with its natural surroundings — a beautiful pine forest and panoramic lake views in every direction create a unique setting for peace and relaxation. Each building is hand-crafted from 250 mm solid pine logs, forming a harmonious and cohesive ensemble.
The castle-like main building, with its abundance of fine details, rises as the only two-storey structure, standing at the top of the architectural hierarchy. Nature is deeply integrated into the interior architecture; most strikingly in the living room, where a nine-metre-high space and a nearly full-glass lake-facing wall create a breathtaking experience.
The exteriors of the log structures have been charred and brushed to achieve a dark, refined tone. The timber frame construction technique is expressed both inside and out. All the roofs are built with massive wooden post-and-beam structures using traditional scissor trusses.
Inside, the smooth-planed log surfaces are left in their natural bright wood finish, complemented by large windows that let natural light flood the rooms. The atmosphere throughout is harmonious and warm.
